The goal of World AIDS Day is to raise awareness about this life-threatening disease, Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). It is also observed to offer assistance to persons living with AIDS. HIV continues to be a major public health concern that affects millions of people around the world.

The theme emphasizes the importance of focusing extra attention on those who have been left behind, as well as the rising disparities in access to critical HIV services. Despite the fact that HIV/AIDS is not a curable disease, shortcomings such as division, inequity, and disregard for human rights have allowed this disease to become and remain a worldwide health problem.

We are urging world leaders and citizens to work together to address the disparities that fuel AIDS and to reach out to those who lack access to essential HIV services.

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 2 Yet another exciting day at NACFC! I started with an interactive session on some research procedures, which I found helpful for my recruiting work and the data's impact on the population. I learned a lot from the CFTR genetics session, which aligns with one of my research group's projects, and the plenary session on The Journey to Understand and Advance Research in CFRD. I wrapped up the day by networking with colleagues at Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center  #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 3 The past few days at The 38th Annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) have been inspiring. I've gained a deeper understanding of CF, CF care, cutting-edge research, and, most importantly, the lived experiences of people living with cystic fibrosis and their families. I am leaving this session with more inspiration to serve people living with CF with my work. Thank you to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for this invaluable opportunity to learn, connect, and be more inspired. #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis
