WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗡𝗢 𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗬 (𝗪𝗡𝗧𝗗) 31𝚂𝚃 𝙼𝙰𝚈 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼: 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁 Tobacco consumption has a lot of detrimental health and environmental effects. Every year, tobacco kills millions of people while also damaging the environment. This year's focus is on the numerous ways in which tobacco endangers our environment.  The tobacco industry has huge and rising harmful influence on the environment, putting substantial strain on our planet's already limited resources and fragile ecosystems. This annual event educates the public on the dangers of tobacco use. WORLD AUTOIMMUNE AND AUTOINFLAMMATORY ARTHRITIS DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 20𝚃𝙷 𝙼𝙰𝚈 The goal is to raise global awareness about arthritic disorders, with a focus on the type of arthritis caused by autoimmunity or autoinflammation, as opposed to the more frequent type of arthritis, which is caused by wear and tear from various factors. Immune cells of the body mistakenly target the body's own healthy joint tissues, causing the body to attack them. A greater understanding of these disorders can aid in early detection, diagnosis, and treatment, reducing the risk of permanent damage and impairment.  Government authorities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders are encouraged to develop and execute solutions for the benefit of patients through advocacy activities and awareness campaigns. WORLD AIDS VACCINE DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 18𝚃𝙷 𝙼𝙰𝚈  This awareness day recognizes the critical need for a vaccine to help prevent the Human Immunodeficiency Virus  (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). It also gives special attention to the thousands of doctors, scientists, community members, and volunteers who are working to develop an effective HIV vaccine.  Communities all throughout the world are being informed about the need for HIV vaccine research. A safe and effective preventive HIV vaccine would be crucial in bringing the HIV pandemic to an end. WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY

​ 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗 16𝚃𝙷 𝙼𝙰𝚈 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲  𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 Also known as World Day of the Boy Child is a day set aside to raise awareness about issues affecting boys. It emphasizes the need for boys to be happy, healthy, and valued in their families and communities. The aim of gender equality is defeated if boys are neglected. Boys, like their female counterparts, deserve to be groomed, nurtured, and protected. If a boy child is ignored or raised with hatred and violence, the effects will live with him and invariably affect those around him. To protect the boy child from negative influences in society, it is critical to focus not only on the home and school but the community at large. WORLD RED CROSS AND RED CRESCENT DAY

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗬 8𝚃𝙷 𝙼𝙰𝚈 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: #𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗗 It's a day to honor the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Multiple crises have devastated the most vulnerable people in recent time, leaving no one unaffected. Despite this, acts of kindness offer a great deal of hope and humanity. Kind gestures make a significant difference in people's lives, regardless of how big or tiny they are. It is believed that small acts of kindness can spread throughout communities, countries, and worldwide. Advocacy for the world's most vulnerable people, wherever they may be (the disadvantaged and forgotten) and assistance in refocusing the world's attention on all people in need is part of the aims of the celebration. INTERNATIONAL NO DIET DAY

​ 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗢 𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗬 6𝚃𝙷 𝙼𝙰𝚈 International No Diet Day serves as a reminder that there is no such thing as the "ideal" body type or shape, and that we should not get carried away with it. It is a celebration of body acceptance, the diversity in physical traits and shunning of body shaming. It's a global movement aimed at assisting people in developing healthier relationships with food and their bodies.  This day is commemorated by loving and caring for one's body without resorting to restrictive unhealthy diets. Unrealistic beauty standards cause people to overthink, leading to eating disorders, mental and physical stress, and even life-threatening procedures. WORLD HAND HYGIENE DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗬𝗚𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 5𝚃𝙷 𝙼𝙰𝚈 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 The theme for this year is to recognize that cleaning our hands and encouraging people to clean their hands with clean water and soap or hand sanitiser at all times can help us build a culture of safety and good health. Hand hygiene is critical for infection prevention and control in the health industry; it likewise makes both patients and health professionals feel safe and cared for.  To make clean hands a priority in health facilities, people at all levels should be taught and informed about the benefits of hand hygiene and believe in its importance. WORLD ASTHMA DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗛𝗠𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗬 3𝚁𝙳 𝙼𝙰𝚈 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝗜𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 This day is observed to raise global awareness of Asthma. While asthma cannot be cured, it can be managed to lessen and avoid asthma attacks, which are also known as episodes. This year's focus is on bridging the many gaps in asthma care that exist due to age, ethnicity, and socioeconomic position. Good communication and public enlightenment as well as asthma awareness among health care providers and policymakers can assist bridge this gap.  This year's topic challenges international respiratory communities to work together with patients, and healthcare providers to discover the problems in asthma care, as well as to help implement and share creative solutions locally and globally.
