INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

​ 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗗𝗥𝗨𝗚 𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚  𝟸𝟼𝚃𝙷 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀  The primary goal of this day is to raise awareness of the worldwide physical and psychological effects of drug addiction, and drug-related issues. This seeks to make progress in eradicating drug misuse while addressing the various problems the world is currently facing.  One of the biggest challenges facing the globe now that needs to be entirely eradicated from society is drug-related concerns. This can be accomplished by raising youth's awareness of the negative effects of drug misuse and developing in them a feeling of responsibility so that they do not succumb to drugs. WORLD VITILIGO DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟸𝟻𝚃𝙷 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗼 An autoimmune disease called vitiligo causes patches of discolouration in various parts of the body because the immune system of the body targets its own cells or tissues.  The goal of World Vitiligo Day, which is celebrated annually on June 25th, is to increase efforts for vitiligo treatment and education while also bringing attention to the social stigma and mental health difficulties faced by vitiligo sufferers. It also aims to draw attention to the difficulties these individuals encounter and to raise money and awareness for vitiligo research. Today is a day to reflect on some of the incredible advancements that have been made over the previous ten years in the fight against this crippling illness. WORLD SICKLE CELL DISEASE DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟷𝟿𝚃𝙷 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴  🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗢𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹 This day is marked every year with the objective of increasing public awareness and understanding of sickle cell disease, as well as tackling the obstacles that patients, their families, and carers face. This year's awareness campaign is called "Shine the Light," and it represents worldwide meetings to light buildings in red in the hopes of finding a universal cure for the disease.  Furthermore, awareness campaigns must be performed and intensified across the country, particularly in high-risk states, to raise public understanding about the disease, the necessity of early diagnosis, and treatment choices. AUTISTIC PRIDE DAY

​ 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟷𝟾𝚃𝙷 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 The purpose of Autistic Pride Day is to enhance autism awareness and create a safe space for persons with autism by respecting their diversity. By doing so we value the community's neurodiversity and accept it for what it is.  The goal of this day is to create awareness among those who are not on the autistic spectrum so that they see autistic persons as unique individuals rather than as people who require treatment.  The rainbow infinity symbol is used to represent the diversity of autistic persons, as well as the endless possibilities and variations that exist within the autistic community. WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟷𝟺𝚃𝙷 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗜𝘀 𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 This is a day to increase global awareness about the need for safe blood and blood products transfusion, as well as the importance of unpaid blood donors to the health care system. All countries require regular, unpaid blood donors to ensure that everyone who needs blood transfusion has access to safe blood.  As a result, we applaud blood transfusion services, blood donor organizations, and other non-governmental organizations for promoting worldwide, national, and local campaigns in order to enhance and extend their voluntary blood donation programs. The day also serves as a call to action for governments and other health-care organizations to provide appropriate resources for blood collection and storage, as well as access to blood transfusions for individuals who are in need. WORLD BRAIN TUMOUR DAY

​ 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 8𝚃𝙷 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 The goal of World Brain Tumour Day is to raise public awareness about the dangers of brain tumours. People are educated about critical facts about brain tumours through various campaigns, events, and discussions. Collaborations in which policymakers, medical professionals, and research institutions work together to support and develop research into advanced brain tumour treatments are likewise set up. Some public awareness initiatives also gather funds to help patients who are unable to afford their treatment.  We honor brain tumour sufferers, their families, healthcare professionals, and caregivers who assist in the treatment of those suffering from the disease.
