The majority of heart diseases are silent killers that develop suddenly and without warning. Cases of heart diseases are significantly on the rise, especially among young people. This is caused by some lifestyle changes, including stress, inactivity, smoking, drinking, using illegal substances, and taking dangerous supplements, among others. By making sure these messages are heard by as many people as possible, we can beat cardiovascular diseases and ensure that every heart beats. Everyone has a chance today to reflect on how they can use ❤️ for themselves, the environment, and mankind in the most effective ways. We have a specific objective to pursue, and even though we have achieved a lot of progress, we must keep cooperating to reach the target of Zero deaths by 2030. Therefore, it is essential to collaborate with stakeholders, advocates, and individuals at the community, municipal, national, and international levels in order to rebuild

Future generations should be concerned about the natural catastrophes, calamities, pollution, climate change, and global warming that have occurred over the world. These environmental problems result in a decline in the environment's quality, including the air, water, food, and other elements necessary for daily human living. The realisation of the SDGs is critically dependent on environmental health.  More than ever, the value of the environmental health workforce must be emphasi

WORLD CONTRACEPTION DAY

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟸𝟼𝚃𝙷 𝚂𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝚁 This day aims to increase knowledge of contraception options and empower young people to make well-informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health. People should be aware of contraception's benefits in the fight against unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases like HIV. For couples and individuals to make free and responsible decisions about the number and spacing of their children, contraception is a crucial component. Planning a family gives people more chances to reach their potential; they can participate and make contributions, which promotes more affluent and stable communities.  Reducing sexually transmitted illnesses, high-risk pregnancies, mother and infant mortality, and teenage and unplanned pregnancies can be accomplished through increasing access to affordable contraception and family planning programmes. Female empowerment is also important in motivating women to make

Additionally, we want to inspire those who have the disease and make sure that more doctors are knowledgeable about ataxia because, with the right information, they can assist in spotting early signs and symptoms and offer prompt medical therapy that can help limit disability. Teams of researchers and organisations from all over the world are motivated to join in the quest for a cure. Giving patients with ataxia both physical and emotional support is crucial as it will enable them to manage their condition and maintain a positive outlook. WORLD RETINA DAY

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟸𝟻𝚃𝙷 𝚂𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝚁 The retina, a remarkably thin layer of the eye, plays a crucial role in vision. We remember those living with retinal disorders and are less able to move around, get an education or a job, and lack support to carry out daily activities. Lack of access to routine eye care makes all of these issues even worse. It is common knowledge that the COVID19 outbreak disrupted health services, including eye care, thereby delaying diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up plans.  This annual event aims to inform people on the need to take care of their eyes. As we come into the light, we are urged not to leave anyone in the dark. Make sure you follow the recommended eye care practices and schedule routine visits with an eye specialist. WORLD LUNG DAY

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟸𝟻𝚃𝙷 𝚂𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝚁 🅃🄷🄴🄼🄴: 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹 We all have the chance to work together to advocate for improved lung health worldwide on this day. Most people do not think much about their lung health until they have respiratory tract illnesses. The state of our lungs and the onset of respiratory issues can be influenced by heredity, disease, and the environment. Lung health is at risk from inequality in the management of these factors, especially when it comes to environmental health concerns that are widely modifiable, like poverty, air pollution, cigarette use, and climate change.  We will go through what we can do to eliminate these disparities this year with the goal to lessen the worldwide burden of the major respiratory diseases and the effects of COVID. This is accomplished through improving access to screening tests, to aid in the early diagnosis, and treatment of lung disorders.  World leaders are urged to cooperate to

It is a prevalent type of dementia that causes memory loss and the loss of other crucial cognitive abilities severe enough to affect a person's everyday life.  This year's theme is centred on post-diagnosis support for dementia. After being diagnosed with dementia, many things come to mind. The unmet support needs that resulted from this diagnosis demonstrate the importance of providing all-encompassing care for the physical, mental, and social wellness of those who are living with dementia. Only so much can be done by the medical staff. It is up to us to reassure them that they are not alone and to encourage them to find meaning in life despite their condition. This day aims to combat the widespread stigma associ

However, everyone will eventually need to take medication to either treat or prevent illness. This is the reason for the immediate call to action to increase medication safety and raise awareness of the significant burden of medication-induced harm worldwide. All parties need to work together to create strategies for preventing medication errors and minimising drug-related harm, especially in high-risk situations including change of care provider, the use of several drugs at once (seen in chronic diseases), and the use of medications that look-alike or sound-alike.  The goal is to raise public awareness and involvement, improve understanding of drug concepts,  improve patient safety and lessen patient harm. The objective is to raise awareness of this condition to promote early detection and access to effective treatment measures. There have been fewer diagnoses and more advanced cancers than anticipated as a result of people being reluctant to seek medical help when they have symptoms and not having access to doctors or healthcare facilities. It is noteworthy that lymphomas like any disease can present with a wide range of symptoms hence the need to visit the hospital when one is ill for proper assessment. We join the millions of people on this cause today because We Can't Wait to halt the pandemic's unforeseen impacts on the lymphoma community.  We can’t wait to identify and take care of our health issues related to lymphomas.  We can’t wait to help those w

Although the chances of recovery and survival are better with early diagnosis, there is no guarantee for a favourable outcome. Antibiotic-resistant microbes in particular can make treatment difficult. So, our goal is to prevent infections. World Sepsis Day is an annual event for everyone to help save lives by raising awareness of one of the leading causes of deaths. As a result, raising awareness mostly involves educating the public on ways to prevent infections, particularly in vulnerable groups (those with underlying chronic illnesses). This includes, among other things, proper personal hygiene, particularly hand hygiene, lifestyle changes (healthy eating and exercise), immunizations, and prompt hospital visits when ill for early diagnosis and treatment. WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY

The actions of such people also have a significant impact on their families and loved ones.  Simply telling people not to worry is insufficient. Our actions no matter how big or small, can give hope to people who are struggling with their mental health and those bereaved by suicide, this is why creating hope through action has been the focus for three years. Therefore, we should make it clear that we care about them and wish to help them. Reducing the stigma attached to mental health illnesses, improving access to mental health therapies, and implementing suicide prevention programmes should be top priorities on the global public health agend

INTERNATIONAL GYNAECOLOGICAL AWARENESS DAY

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟷𝟶𝚃𝙷 𝚂𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝚁 This year, attention is being paid to cancers that arise in a woman's reproductive system, termed gynaecological cancers. The ovaries, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva are all parts of the female reproductive system. Since there are screening tests and vaccines available for some of these cancers, we must educate ourselves and the women around us about these illnesses. The significance of either of these should not be understated, and we must urge women to volunteer for screening exercises and follow up afterwards. Due to little funding, many aspects of women's health remain poorly understood. Raising awareness and encouraging more participation in women's health research and advocacy are crucial to remedying this disparity and offering answers to questions about female reproductive health.
