Trauma can be physically harmful as well as psychologically distressing. Natural disasters, man-made disasters, violence, conflict, and a variety of accidents, with road crashes being the most frequent cause, can all result in trauma.
The goal of World Trauma Day is to lessen trauma-related incidents' negative impacts, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as injuries and deaths. This year, the emphasis is on raising awareness of trauma and instructing the public on how to deal with traumatic events. Oftentimes, traumatic injuries occur suddenly and require urgent medical attention. Some might even need life-saving interventions. After sustaining a traumatic injury, a lot of survivors experience disabilities. Others suffer devastating injuries that result in death. The patients have a better chance of recovery the sooner they receive medical care. Sadly, there are usually few options for quickly transporting patients to a hospital. Most hospitals also lack the necessary medical tools for providing emergency care.
The ideal way to celebrate this day is to become familiar with the fundamental life-saving techniques for you and your neighbour. You never know when it will be useful.
