Today's numerous and intertwined issues, including pandemic shock, climate change, wars, and international conflicts, all present tremendous humanitarian difficulties as well as dangers to the world economy. People in vulnerable situations, such as people with disabilities, are frequently ignored and left behind in times of crisis like this. In terms of transportation, work, education, and social and political participation, people with disabilities do not have equal access to society as others.

The purpose of this Day's celebration is to increase awareness of disability issues and to gain support for the dignity, rights, and general welfare of people with disabilities. This year, the emphasis is on inventive and revolutionary approaches to include people with disabilities in growth and development in some related areas such as employment, eliminating inequality, and in industries where several components are knitted together. The objective is to support the empowerment of disabled people. This strengthens their capacity for self-determination and helps them establish their priorities. Investment in disabled people's jobs, health, education, and social security is a key component of empowerment. People who are empowered are better equipped to seize opportunities and are more willing to accept their societal roles.

To make the world more equitably accessible, everyone must work together to develop novel solutions for and alongside people with disabilities. This will guarantee that nobody gets left behind.

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 2 Yet another exciting day at NACFC! I started with an interactive session on some research procedures, which I found helpful for my recruiting work and the data's impact on the population. I learned a lot from the CFTR genetics session, which aligns with one of my research group's projects, and the plenary session on The Journey to Understand and Advance Research in CFRD. I wrapped up the day by networking with colleagues at Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center  #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 3 The past few days at The 38th Annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) have been inspiring. I've gained a deeper understanding of CF, CF care, cutting-edge research, and, most importantly, the lived experiences of people living with cystic fibrosis and their families. I am leaving this session with more inspiration to serve people living with CF with my work. Thank you to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for this invaluable opportunity to learn, connect, and be more inspired. #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis
