People from different racial, social, and cultural backgrounds can be affected by the genetic disorder known as Down syndrome. Physical and intellectual disabilities result from having an extra duplicate of the 21st chromosome. The majority of people with Down syndrome have distinctive facial characteristics and several other health issues.

The third month's 21st day was designated as a special day to recognize the peculiarity of this illness. The purpose of the event is to increase public knowledge, advance inclusivity, foster advocacy, and support the welfare of people with Down syndrome. This day works to dispel common misunderstandings and assumptions about people with Down syndrome and raise public awareness of it.

Always keep in mind that individuals with Down syndrome have the right to equal treatment and the same opportunities as everyone else to participate in societal and personal decisions. Regarding the right to education, work, healthcare, and social inclusion, there shouldn't be any discrimination. Today is used as a movement to uphold these rights and encourage inclusivity. Because chromosomes resemble socks, some people celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing multiple coloured socks.

Formal healthcare personnel who aren’t dressed professionally must protect and defend their professional demeanour. One of the most essential things in instilling a patient’s confidence in the doctors is their appearance. In terms of attire, the white coat was deemed to be the most suitable, followed by surgic...

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 2 Yet another exciting day at NACFC! I started with an interactive session on some research procedures, which I found helpful for my recruiting work and the data's impact on the population. I learned a lot from the CFTR genetics session, which aligns with one of my research group's projects, and the plenary session on The Journey to Understand and Advance Research in CFRD. I wrapped up the day by networking with colleagues at Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center  #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 3 The past few days at The 38th Annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) have been inspiring. I've gained a deeper understanding of CF, CF care, cutting-edge research, and, most importantly, the lived experiences of people living with cystic fibrosis and their families. I am leaving this session with more inspiration to serve people living with CF with my work. Thank you to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for this invaluable opportunity to learn, connect, and be more inspired. #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis
