The goal of World Kidney Day is to unite kidney disease patients and raise public awareness of the importance of healthy kidneys and their role in maintaining good health. Worldwide, millions of people who have chronic kidney disease do not have access to adequate diagnostic services or treatment options.

This year's campaign is focused on increasing public awareness of catastrophic events, either man-made or natural, global or local, that affect people living with kidney disease and their access to appropriate diagnostic services, treatment, and care. Due to their ongoing need for continuous comprehensive care, which is frequently lifelong and cost-demanding, people with kidney disease are among the population groups that are most vulnerable in emergencies.

Health advice is widely disseminated as part of the program, and people with comorbid conditions like diabetes and hypertension are screened for chronic kidney disease and kidney failure treatment options are advocated for. It is a call to action for patients, the general public, governments, and stakeholders who are in positions of power to collaborate to raise awareness of the problems encountered by patients with chronic kidney disease and offer solutions. This is done to be ready for unforeseen circumstances and prevent any disruption in the accessibility of diagnosis, therapy, and care.

Formal healthcare personnel who aren’t dressed professionally must protect and defend their professional demeanour. The white coat has long been regarded as a medical doctor’s badge.  Some patients still prefer a white coat, according to various research. One of the most essential things in instilling a patient’s confidence in the doctors is their appearance. In terms of attire, the white coat was deemed to be the most suitable, followed by surgic...

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 2 Yet another exciting day at NACFC! I started with an interactive session on some research procedures, which I found helpful for my recruiting work and the data's impact on the population. I learned a lot from the CFTR genetics session, which aligns with one of my research group's projects, and the plenary session on The Journey to Understand and Advance Research in CFRD. I wrapped up the day by networking with colleagues at Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center  #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 3 The past few days at The 38th Annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) have been inspiring. I've gained a deeper understanding of CF, CF care, cutting-edge research, and, most importantly, the lived experiences of people living with cystic fibrosis and their families. I am leaving this session with more inspiration to serve people living with CF with my work. Thank you to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for this invaluable opportunity to learn, connect, and be more inspired. #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis
