World Obesity Day is observed to raise awareness of useful strategies that can help people reach and maintain a healthy weight, and also receive treatment when necessary to bring the obesity crisis to an end. This year's objective is to influence people's perspectives on obesity by debunking myths, eliminating stigmas, and persuading everyone to adopt collaborative strategies (dietary modifications and exercise) to end obesity. We must discuss and address the issues causing obesity because it is on the increase worldwide.

Obesity is a medical condition that is defined as having too much body fat, which can lead to severe health issues. Calorie intake and expenditure are out of balance. Due to recent changes in the global diet, there has been a rise in the consumption of foods that are high in energy and free sugars and fat. A decrease in physical activity has also been seen as a consequence of increasing urbanisation, easier access to transportation, and the nature of many jobs. NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 2 Yet another exciting day at NACFC! I started with an interactive session on some research procedures, which I found helpful for my recruiting work and the data's impact on the population. I learned a lot from the CFTR genetics session, which aligns with one of my research group's projects, and the plenary session on The Journey to Understand and Advance Research in CFRD. I wrapped up the day by networking with colleagues at Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center  #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis

NORTH AMERICAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE (NACFC) 2024

North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) 2024 Day 3 The past few days at The 38th Annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) have been inspiring. I've gained a deeper understanding of CF, CF care, cutting-edge research, and, most importantly, the lived experiences of people living with cystic fibrosis and their families. I am leaving this session with more inspiration to serve people living with CF with my work. Thank you to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for this invaluable opportunity to learn, connect, and be more inspired. #nacfc #nacfc2024 #cf #cysticfibrosis
