A person with M.E./C.F.S. has particularly high levels of weariness after very little activity. This exhaustion is not alleviated by sleep and persists even after minimal physical, mental, or emotional activity that the person could easily perform prior to the illness. This illness reduces productivity and impacts a person's quality of life significantly.
We'll concentrate on post-activity tiredness, a symptom that every M.E. patient suffers. When someone hears about M.E., we want this crucial element of the condition to be the first thing they think of. The campaign's goals are to raise public awareness of the diseases, inform people of their symptoms, and promote more funding for research.
M.E. is an illness that we can and should learn from, regardless of whether you work in the medical field or are a member of the general population. It serves as a day to educate the public and show support for those suffering from M.E./CFS and other chronic illnesses.
